Mayo Fleadh Ceoil here you can expect to experience traditional Irish music, song, dance and storytelling. Held in July this is a true celebration of the culture of the West of Ireland.
Croagh Patrick Pilgrimage on the last Sunday of July, a day also known as Reek Sunday, every year approximately 20 000 people endeavour to follow the traditional pilgrimage route to the summit of the holy mountain Croagh Patrick. Although challenging, this is truly a unique and memorable experience and the view from the top of the stunning Clew bay is worth the effort.
Westport Arts Festival you are guaranteed to find something to suit your taste at this incredibly diverse festival. Held in October acts include local and national artists and musicians as well as many from as far as Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, and India providing a huge variety of entertainment such as theatre, opera, traditional folk music and jazz.
